Based on the novel by Chuck Dixon

A slick young shoplifter working the department stores of 1970s Philadelphia thinks he's found the perfect score, until an inside job draws the wrong kind of attention and pulls everyone he cares about into a closing web of deceit and danger.

ABOUT SHRINKAGE

Adapted from Chuck Dixon's lean, hard-edged crime novel, Shrinkage is a street-level noir set in the department stores and back alleys of 1970s Philadelphia. Jeff is smart, confident, and good at what he does, lifting goods and working the angles, until an inside job over the Christmas season escalates into something he doesn't have the street smarts to survive. Drawn from Dixon's own memories of the city and the stockroom jobs of his youth, the story carries a grounded, lived-in authenticity beneath its mounting tension.

Light Pipe Media is developing Shrinkage as a taut, character-driven crime drama, a portrait of ambition and consequence that makes you root for a protagonist who hasn't earned it, set in a richly rendered period world.
