LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA — JUNE 2026 — Light Pipe Media, the production company dedicated to developing intellectual property that bridges imagination and screen, today announced it has acquired the adaptation rights to two acclaimed works of crime fiction: Gravy Train by James Ellroy and Shrinkage by Chuck Dixon. The acquisitions mark the company's first move into adapting established literary properties alongside its slate of original projects.

Gravy Train is a sharp, darkly comic noir from James Ellroy, the bestselling author behind L.A. Confidential and The Black Dahlia. Set in Los Angeles, it follows a recently released ex-con drawn into an inheritance scheme involving a fortune, a dog, and a cast of double-dealers, Ellroy's trademark grit turned loose with a wicked sense of humor.

Shrinkage is a lean, street-level crime novel from Chuck Dixon, the prolific comics writer known for his long runs on Batman, his co-creation of the character Bane, and the Levon Cade series. Set in 1970s Philadelphia, it traces a confident young shoplifter whose inside job at a downtown department store spirals into a web of deceit and danger he isn't equipped to escape.

"Both of these stories carry exactly the kind of charged, human tension we look for. Adapting work from writers as singular as James Ellroy and Chuck Dixon lets us channel proven storytelling through our own lens and bring it to the screen." said Phillip Bogolub, Founder of Light Pipe Media.

Both projects are in early development. Further details, including format and creative team, will be announced at a later date.
