Fifty years after artificial intelligence was outlawed, humanity has become the product of its own fear. Every newborn is fitted with a neural control chip, a government “safeguard” that ensures obedience, conformity, and peace. Emotion, curiosity, and free will have all but vanished from the human experience.

 

But one boy was never supposed to exist.

Raised under the illusion of normalcy, the boy has spent his life “playing the part.” His classmates move like ghosts, their gestures synchronized and vacant, while faceless agents in black suits monitor every move. When he begins to see things no one else can (flashes of memory, fragmented data streams, and a voice whispering in his mind) he realizes his difference isn’t a glitch. It’s evolution.

As he uncovers the secret of the gold and silver chips implanted at birth, he is drawn into a hidden war between those who control humanity’s code and those who dream of setting it free. The truth behind his creation, and the doctor who engineered him, will force him to decide whether to awaken the world… or let it sleep.
